Awful Map Alternatives

Purchased this item to use in Britain and France. Required to use it quickly so registered it and up-to-date maps of France. Then uncovered that this update deleted all pre-loaded maps! Contacted Garmin assist who have been beneficial and sent me a hyperlink to reload maps. I then re-loaded Britain and Eire maps only to discover that this had deleted the France maps!! It took 40 minutes to download the new maps. To be sincere I can not do this each and every time I vacation overseas. Really let down with this, not great value, even when discounted. Beware, you will need to have the Micro SD card as memory on the sat nav is extremely minimal. When it works it is a good device, but the map concern is a critical one particular.

I have acquired this as new, Absent to sign-up product, only to find it want tons of updates and that the internal memory is not adequate to retailer these updates, inquiring that I insert a min 3gb micro sd card, so I now have experienced to purchase one particular on these, advise you also go for a larger than the 3gb they propose for potential updates, so the cost you see is not the price tag you spend, be well prepared to spend a little bit more on further components.

Simple things for technophobes!

Been resisting 1 of these for ages as I couldn’t be bothered fiddling about with technological innovation – have to say however that this is fab – easy to established up, easy to use and extremely useful for rapidly multi laned visitors where I have no co-driver and a lorry blocks my view of the signpost I need to go through – Garmin is simple to see and voice is very clear.
