Firstly it works straight out of the box, the magnetic mount it brilliant and because of the live services the device registered and worked without pc or mobile syncing. Bluetooth phone paired easily and worked straight away, it didn't support all 270 contacts so i had to do some house keeping, but now down to the 150 current ones and it's fine. The hands free is ok, people on the other end say that it is very clear, but i have to turn the volume up on my phone (which is a pain as my phone defaults to minimum - i think the issue is with my phone not the device)the screen is bright and visable in all light. It also switches automatically to night setting when it gets dark. Route planning is easy and exactly what you would expect. Also the traffic routing works really well, it detected a closed road on my journey to work and routed me around it, as the road opened before i got to the diversion the device automatically put me back on to the quickest route. The voice command & control isn't great when there is any background noise and i don't use it. I have now connected to my pc, you will need to install "my tomtom" to replace "tomtom home", but it works fine, although the software doesn't feel as intuitive.
